Our wonderful Special Olympics Performance team has been showing off their super style in numerous performances in the last few months. On September 30 they performed at the "Poise, Style & Motion" studio dance party in Shrewsbury, MA. They enjoyed a fun potluck and awards party at Studio One in October, danced at the Coast Guard Academy in CT on November 18th, at the Artists Exchange in Cranston on December 11 and Rhodes on the Pawtuxet on December 23. Coaches John and Dee Soares will teach a new routine to the team in 2012. The team has welcomed new Special Olympic athletes and now needs additional Dancesport Unified Sports ® Partners to be leaders.

Dancers - please consider volunteering for this team. This is a wonderful opportunity to use your dance skills to share with others, and belong to a warm, friendly and very enthusiastic group! Men and women dancers are needed to be leaders for the Special Olympic Athlete dancers. No need to be an advanced dancer. The routines are easy to learn and practices are held every other Thursday evening 6:30 - 7:30 PM at Trudeau Center in Warwick. Volunteers are requested to sign up as a Special Olympics volunteer and view a brief online training course and orientation session.

For additional information, answers to your questions, interest in volunteering, please email and we'll help you get started. Thank you!
